i do not own this item but what do u expect from 3mp. it sounds like a great starter camera or for an individual on a tight budget. i am sure it works as great as any other 3mg with out optical zoom camera. I bought this camera because I really wanted a small, portable one that I could just grab and go with or throw in a bag or stick in my pocket. I have a larger Z740 Kodak that I love, but it's too big, especially if I am traveling.

The C180 was at a great price (.99) and is super easy--like most Kodak cameras are to use. Since I was already familiar with the controls, I had absolutely no problems using it straight from the box. Even if you are new to Kodak, the controls are easy to learn. Battery life is O.K. if you use batteries that are specifically for digital cameras and electronics. The batteries that came with the camera did not last very long at all--less than a week. (I am currently using Duracell Powerpix and they have lasted a very long time)

I highly recommend this camera or any Kodak since they are so user friendly. I had bought my parents a similar one for Christmas 2008 and they have no problems.

This is a great little camera for those of us who are not serious photographers. It is fairly simple to use and has features I have yet discovered, I think.
The only negative aspect is the quality of instructions that come with the camera---very minimal but I was able to figure out most techniques through trial and error and having had a "lesser" version" of this camera (which I broke). Batteries are always a challenge. I strongly advise using Utlimate Energizer batteries (lithium) which have a long life although expensive (2-3 bucks). I tried using rechargeable batteries but they were so undependable I gave up and went to the Energizers. Just carry an extra set of batteries with you when you are out picture taking.

Purchased as a gift to replace step-daughter's Sony which lasted for 5 years. She takes a great quantity of pictures and complained about it not having a retractable, automatic lens cover and coming without a case. I bought this camera last summer (08). This was my first digital camera and I didn't do much research so I really lucked out! I picked it up on impulse when it was on sale. The color I purchased is different than the current offerings; mine is bright blue. After owning this camera for over a year and using it several times a week I still have nothing but positive things to say about it. The LCD display is sharp and crisp both for image capturing and reviewing. I love being able to zoom in and out on my pictures in the camera. I also love being able to zoom out to 9 pictures at a time to be able to scroll through my many pictures more quickly. Even when we have had a few drinks, we still manage to take great pictures. It is so easy to use! It seems to not have a huge appetite for batteries even though I use it so much. I don't use it for anything too fancy just lots of fun snapshots so if that is what you are looking for I think it is a wonderful camera at a very affordable price.

This is a GREAT camera. I bought it for my wife to carry around. She is not a gadget geek, but she is nuts about this camera, and will show it off to anyone who will listen. The stylus and drawing feature is really great, and she uses that all the time. When she shops for clients, she takes a picture of the product in the store, and then scribbles the price and some notes on the image with the little stylus. It is very handy.

The reason it gets 4 stars instead of an enthusiastic 5 is the lens cover is defective and we're having to repair the camera after only about a month of use. Also, the battery life seems to be erratic - sometimes we'll get well over a hundred shots on one charge, and sometimes less than a day.

I'd also highly recommend (insist) that you purchase a case for this camera to protect the display and keep it from getting turned on inadvertantly. Nikon's model works pretty well.

This camera is a steal for the price its at. I would have bought myself one if it wasn't pink. It is very easy to use as far as digital cams go. Got it for my 7 year old, she loves it.

The picture quality was pretty good, but the lighting was not so great. If you use the flash you can't be too close to the subject, or else it will flood out the subject. If you don't use the flash the picture will appear dark even when being taken right under your living room light. The lighting isn't too bad when you use it outside in the sunlight though. The controls are easy to navigate and the camera is pretty light weight. My daughter loves this camera, but I would never use it for myself.
